The Real Madrid star posted 1,703 times overall on social media in 2016, generating 2.25 billion interactions, according to Hookit, to his 260 million followers across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Nike was referenced or had its logo visible in 347 of the posts, which had 477 million interactions, while Ronaldo's top post in 2016 earned Nike an eye-watering $5.8 million in media value.
Hookit’s valuation of $499.6 million was calculated by looking at the type of promotion and the quality of it, as well as interactions and market-driven rates.
As well as sponsored promotions, Ronaldo often uses his social media accounts to share images and videos of his lavish lifestyle.
Private jets, stunning supercars and backstage footage of VIP events all appear on Ronaldo's Instagram alone, with images of the Portuguese's extensive trophy collection also featuring heavily.
Ronaldo, who has scored 14 La Liga goals in his 16 appearances, also allows us access to his Real Madrid team-mates, with behind-the-scenes pictures of what they get up to behind closed doors.
